This 4.73 acre lot rests adjacent to the junction of the Quinnipiac River and a Raceway tributary. The master plan developed by FA called for four buildings (two adaptive re-use and two new) consisting of 49 total apartment units. This first building involved a major adaptive re-use of an existing tavern to create two floors of apartments, consisting of 18,750 s.f. The strategy included new structural elements integrated with the original system, new roof truss system, and a new building envelope. This building consists of 9 two-bedroom units and 7 one-bedroom units, totaling 16 apartments. The remaining three buildings have also been completed.
