The Town of East Haddam selected Fellner Architects to develop concepts and a new master plan for the Village of East Haddam. FA reviewed past studies and documentation, photographed the village area, performed a site analysis, explored sustainable design potential, and engaged in continuous dialogue with the East Haddam Village Revitalization Committee in order to implement their vision statement. In turn, FA developed goals and strategies with sustainable design features, site conceptual plans, building concepts with floor plans and elevations, 3-D computer model/renderings of site and buildings, as well as space/use summaries. Due to the economic climate at the time, developers did not pursue this project, and ultimately this was one of numerous studies conducted by the Town of East Haddam.
