Mullen Road Commerce Center
Enfield, CT
This new speculative development by GFI Partners can serve as a wholesale, warehouse, and distribution center for local, regional, and national industrial users. Fellner Architects is part of a design team including site/civil engineers, landscape architects, traffic engineers, structural engineers, and MEP/FP engineers.
The 130,548 s.f. building is set on a 14.64-acre site with a balanced layout of parking, driveways, and landscaping. With a 36’ height interior, this building has flexibly designated office and bathroom areas, two main entries, 28 loading docks, and two drive-in doors. This facility is designed by FA using a pre-engineered steel frame building system. The walls consist of an exterior insulated metal panel system and a 10’ high split faced concrete block base banding which effectively serves to visually ground the mass of the building. The roof consists of a standing seam metal roof system. Main entries are articulated with an aluminum storefront system and a 5’ deep aluminum canopy system supported by diagonal hanger rods. Construction is planned to start in 2026.
