George FellnerGeorge Fellner, AIA, LEED AP, Principal, received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University and his Master of Architecture degree from The University of Florida. After accumulating experience with a number of architectural firms in New York, Florida and Connecticut, Mr. Fellner formed Fellner Architects (FA) in 1987. Reinforcing his commitment to sustainable design, Mr. Fellner is a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design - Accredited Professional) and FA is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council. As a past Co-Chairman of the AIA CT Committee on the Environment, Mr. Fellner has lectured and written extensively on sustainable design issues and strategies, environmental subjects, with a focus on geothermal systems, as well as organizing programs, seminars, and workshops. Mr. Fellner has also taught as an Adjunct Professor, and was a guest critic at the University of Hartford, School of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture. In terms of community involvement, Mr. Fellner is a past Chairman of the Haddam/East Haddam Division for the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, and a past Vice-Chairman of the East Haddam Planning and Zoning Commission. He regularly gives presentations on architecture, the environment, and photography for community groups and organizations. In addition, Mr. Fellner's fine art photographs have been featured in a series of solo photo exhibitions in a number of Connecticut art galleries, as well as group shows in museums and galleries. His fine art photographs are also exhibited in a number of permanent art collections including the Yale School of Medicine, the Jackson Laboratory of Genomic Medicine at UCONN Health Center, and the NYC offices of Nature Genetics Journal. Mark DegnanMark Degnan, Assoc. AIA, Project Manager/Designer, received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Syracuse University. Prior to joining FA in 2009, Mr. Degnan accumulated 12 years of experience with architectural firms in Connecticut and New York. He is a member of the Economic Development Committee and Citizens for Clean Groundwater in Haddam, CT. Mr. Degnan has also been involved with Habitat for Humanity in Bridgeport, CT and Syracuse, NY. Heidi FellnerHeidi Fellner, Business Manager, received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Hofstra University. Ms. Fellner has accumulated extensive experience in accounting and business administration in New York, Florida, and Connecticut. She has worked with FA since 1987, assisting with business administration, accounting, bookkeeping, and marketing. |
