Dwellings for the 21st Century

“Green Homes - Dwellings for the 21st Century” by E. Ashley Rooney features “Carlin Hill Farm” in Connecticut, designed by George Fellner.  This house includes numerous sustainable strategies including optimum site orientation, passive solar sunspace, geothermal heating and cooling system, natural ventilation, day lighting, material re-use, high efficiency wood fireplace, high efficiency appliances, compact fluorescent lighting, and solar site lighting.  The book was released during the summer of 2008.

AIA 2008 National Convention
and Design Exposition

George Fellner was a speaker at the AIA 2008 National Convention and Design Exposition held at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, May 15-17, 2008.  He presented his program: “Geothermal Systems:  An Alternative Strategy for Sustainability.”  He also attended a series of other presentations on sustainable design.

Shingle Style Architecture for the 21st Century

George Fellner wrote the Foreword "Shingle Style Revival as Timeless Architecture" for the book by E. Ashley Rooney. His design for "Fusion: Modern Shingle Style and Lakefront Vernacular" is also featured in this book. The book was released during the fall of 2010.

Imaginary Realms Photography Exhibit at EO Art Lab

George Fellner was the featured artist for a solo exhibition of works at EO Art Lab in Chester, CT. Opening Reception/Artist Talk on Feb 4, 2011, 6-9pm.

Sustainable Design Strategies in Architecture: River Valley Rhythms Radio Program

George Fellner was the featured guest on the River Valley Rhythms Radio Program on WESU Radio 88.1 in Middletown, CT, interviewed by host Stephan Allison. This 1-hr program on Sustainable Design Strategies in Architecture was aired live on Thursday, Jan 17, 2013 at 4pm. The show is also available as an archived program on the station's website.

Yale School of Medicine: Brady Memorial Lab

Five of George Fellner's large format abstract photographic images from his "Imaginary Realms" series have been acquired and exhibited in 2013 as part of Yale's permanent art collection.

Vice President of AIA Connecticut

George Fellner as been elected as Vice President of AIA CT for 2016, serving on the Board of Directors. He also serves on the Connecticut Architecture Foundation's Board of Directors.

"Synaptic Nebula," one of George Fellner's large format metal prints was exhibited at The Nor'Easter: 48th Annual Juried Members Exhibition at the New Britain Museum of American Art in New Britain, CT (Jan-Feb 2016).
